Thelma was born April 12, 1944 in Stockbridge, MI, the daughter of Frank and Rachel Mary Minix. She worked in the Remanufacturing Department of General Motors for 30 years. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her beloved dog, Bandit. Paul was preceded in death by his soulmate, Pat, in September 2021.

She worked for Merkel Furniture Store for many years, beginning when it was a hardware store, but many would remember her as an interior designer. After retiring from the University of Michigan, she finished her working career at the Chelsea Dollar Store. The donations will be used for a memorial and to establish a scholarship fund administered by the Dexter Rotary. She had lived in the Stockbridge area since she was three years old. She was a wonderful baker, baking bread and making specialty cakes for graduation and weddings.

Pete enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren. They were so very special to him, and he loved them beyond measure. Two and a half years ago, he made peace with God and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. She was preceded in death by her son, Dakota Patrick, and infant son, Mark Patrick, grandson, Joseph D. Brown, great-grandson, Casey Kemplin, sister, Myrtle Doxtader, and brother, Merlin Baum.

The family would like to thank Henry Ford Hospice and Judy’s other caregivers, Margret Marvin, Shelley Brooks, and Sheila Clear . She loved her home in the city of Chelsea and was a wonderful homemaker and gardener. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as spending time at Four Mile Lake. She was involved in the Chelsea Community, volunteering for Faith in Action and planning the 1951 CHS class reunions. She graduated from West Michigan Christian High School in 1954, and went on to graduate from Calvin College in 1958 with a degree in music education. She married her high school sweetheart, Timothy Larsen, in 1959, and began her lifelong work with children as an elementary school teacher in Muskegon area public schools.
